"Healing: God's Provision for You!"

God has made provision for our healing. In Matthew 8:17 Jesus said that He bore our sicknesses and took our infirmities. If He bore ours' on the cross, we don't have any to bear! He took our sickness the same way He took our sin - by bearing it on Himself on the cross.

1 Peter 2:24 says, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." The same sacrifice for our sin was the sacrifice for our healing. Notice the latter part of this verse, "by whose stripes ye were healed." Doesn't this mean "spiritual healing", that is, the healing of our spirit to God, being saved? NO! The Greek word used in this verse (iaomai) means to be "physically cured." To be made whole! Praise God! Healing is for us as Christians!

Now, how do we obtain this healing that God has provided? The first thing that you need to do is listen to God's Word concerning healing. Faith for healing comes from hearing the Word concerning healing (Romans 10:17). This is true of any Bible subject. If you listen to teaching concerning salvation you'll get saved; if you listen to the Word concerning the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, you'll receive that experience. God's Word is medicine (Proverbs 4:20-23). Take it daily! Then you need to act on God's Word. If you are healed (Isaiah 53:4,5) indeed, if you were (past tense) healed (1 Peter 2:24), then you need to confess, "I am healed! I don't care what my body says. I'm not walking by what my five physical senses tell me, I'm a believer, I walk by faith! (II Corinthians 5:7)" Act like you're healed, confess that you're healed (Mark 11:22-24; Romans 4:17-25), The manifestation in the physical realm will come!
