Word of Faith Ministries

Bill Bailey Ministries was the name of Dr. Bill's ministry before Word of Faith Ministries.

Main Article Then... On April 8, 1969 I was born again. Still I felt that something was lacking in my spiritual life. Looking for this "something," I ignorantly became involved in the occult, telepathy, psycho-kinesis, hypnosis, etc. After feeling somehow uneasy about my occult experiences, I turned to the Word of God. There I found that these practices are called "abominations to God." After renouncing the occult I began to study my Bible constantly. My hunger for God's Word led me to a Full Gospel Businessmen's Regional Convention in Raleigh, North Carolina. There on Nov. 10, 1973, I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave me utterance. As I have told some people since, I felt as though I'd been "zapped" with a bolt of power! Little did I know at that time; I had! I returned to Denton and shared this experience with my friends there.  Not long after this I heard teaching by Kenneth Hagin and Kenneth Copeland. The message of world overcoming faith and victory from God's Word became increasingly real to me. Listening to these faith minister's broadcasts I realized the importance of daily study of God's Word. As the scripture says, "...they received the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily whether those things were so." Acts 17:11.

I began to realize that I had been called by God into a teaching ministry. After much fasting and prayer I told the Lord, "Yes, I'll accept the calling You've placed on me...I'll do whatever You require of me in this ministry..." Since then I have been ordained into the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After a series of meetings held by Kenneth Copeland Nov. 30 through Dec. 2, 1978, the Lord spoke to me and said, "I want you to begin your ministry in earnest. You will be on seven radio stations in two years teaching My Word. I want you to hold teaching seminars, lay hands on the sick...I want you to fulfill your ministry."

We began broadcasting on WLXN in Lexington, N.C. on Jan. 29, 1979...

Now...

Now, praise God! We are going on three more radio stations on Sept. 10 of this year... WSTS, Laurinburg/Fayetteville, N.C. 96.5 FM following Kenneth Hagin's program at 12:30 the Spirit of Faith Broadcast will be on at 12:45 PM, WQXZ, Taylorsville, NC 860 AM at 9:00 AM just before Kenneth Hagin's broadcast, WBZQ, Greenville, NC 1550 AM at 9:00 AM also just before Brother Hagin's broadcast. And of course, we'll still be following Kenneth Copeland's program on WLXN, 94.1 FM at 5:15 PM. Plus, WLXN will soon be increasing their power from 10,000 watts to 50,000 watts, praise the Lord! I encourage you to look at the map on the back of this page and tell your friends in these areas about the broadcast.

Bill Bailey Ministries, Inc. was formed in July of 1979 to help direct the grow of this ministry, it is an independent, non-profit Christian organization dedicated to this theme scripture, "...to fulfill the Word of God." (Col. 1:25) Now a word to you that are interested in this ministry. There are many great faith teachers and ministries in this country today, praise God for them! However the Lord spoke to me and said, "Kenneth Copeland is in Texas, Kenneth Hagin is in Oklahoma, Charles Capps is located in Arkansas. I want you to have a ministry similar to these in North Carolina."

This is a serious calling. I intend to fulfill this calling with the strength of God's Spirit within me.
